The following is a listing of community directories that are currently available on the web. The directories contain details of local clubs and organisations that exist in Wales or in your local area. Many clubs and societies throughout the whole of Wales with an online presence are also listed within Wales on the Web.
Many clubs or organisations do not have an online presence. Many schemes exist such as BT Community Connections, an award scheme that connects local community and voluntary groups to the internet. The website provides details of how to apply and a listing of successful groups in Wales that have benefited from the awards.
Other resources exist enabling community groups and clubs to build an online presence. IC Wales community index is a portal of local, community internet sites, searchable alphabetically or by location and allows groups the opportunity to your own custom-made local site. Beehive provides a similar service for south west Wales as does IC north Wales community index for north wales.
There is support available in many areas of Wales offering the opportunity for community groups to build their own quality community group website. They include:

Wales
Community Development Directory
The directory is produced by the Department of Community Regeneration at University of Glamorgan and provides a comprehensive listing of a wide range of community development organisations, groups and projects throughout Wales. It lists over 2,500 organisations in Wales.
Anglesey
Anglesey Children and Young People's Directory
This is a directory of child and youth services and organisations in Anglesey. It is possible for organisations to submit their details for inclusion within the directory. The service was created by Anglesey Children and Young People's Partnership and Anglesey Children's Information Service. The service also provides free information, support and guidance on all aspects of childcare and Children and Young People's Services.
Carmarthenshire
Directory of Local Groups in Carmarthenshire
The directory has been compiled by Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services. It is a directory of local groups and voluntary organisations in Carmarthenshire. Each entry has a short description and contact details.
Conwy
Conwy Community Directory
This is a joint initiative between Conwy Voluntary Services Council, Conwy Library, Information & Archives Service, Conwy Children's Information Exchange and Conwy Health and Well Being Information Project. It is an online guide to local clubs and organisations, business, education, and leisure in the Conwy county borough.
Flintshire
Flintshire Community Directory
This is a comprehensive, up-to-date, county-wide information service about voluntary / community groups, societies, clubs and other organisations in Flintshire. It is a joint venture between Flintshire Local Voluntary Council and Flintshire County Council's Library and Information Service.
Gwynedd
Gwynedd- Gwe'r Cymuned
Gwe'r Cymuned is a community website for Gwynedd created by Gwynedd Council. The database contains a directory of clubs and societies, details of local newspapers, list of events and things to do and a directory of councillors in Gwynedd.

Mantell Gwynedd provides contact details of over 740 voluntary organisations and clubs in Gwynedd. You can search by category of activity and/or area of Gwynedd.
Monmouthshire
Monmouthshire Community Directory
The Monmouthshire Community Directory has been compiled in parnership with Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO), Monmouthshire County Council, Monmouthshire Libraries and the Monmouthshire Local Health Board. The database provides details of many clubs and voluntary organisations in Monmouthshire. They include adult education, sporting clubs, clubs for young people and the elderly and history and arts clubs in the borough.
Rhondda Cynon Taff
Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Information Database
This is a directory of clubs, community and voluntary organisations in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. The database has been compiled by the Rhondda Cynon Taff Libraries and Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Care, Community Services. You are able to search by name, place or type of organisation or use their A-Z listing of organisations. Each entry has contact details of purpose of organisation.
Swansea
Directory of Voluntary and Community Organisations in Swansea
This is a directory of over 200 voluntary organisations in Swansea including community groups, self-help groups and local branches of national charities. Each entry contains contact details of the group: address, telephone number, email and website address (where applicable) plus a short description of the activities of the group. The directory is available to view through adobe acrobat only. The directory is published by Swansea Council for Voluntary Services.
Torfaen

This is an online community portal project for Torfaen. Webster.uk.net focuses on driving up internet usage and skills in Torfaen, and offers access to a range of information and services directly contributed by local community groups, clubs, voluntary and charity organisations, small businesses and public service providers via direct training and ongoing support by the project’s outreach workers.
